1 PM to 2 PM: ages 9 to 12

Cost: FREE (pre-registration required)

Join us this summer for our engaging, nature-based educational series! Each weekly theme takes a close look at the natural world and helps us appreciate what Earth has to offer.

11 AM to 12 PM Class (ages 5 to 8):  FULL

1 PM to 2 PM Class (ages 9 to 12): 10 spots left

1. How do I sign up?

Online registration has closed! Our 5 to 8 year old's class is full. There are still spots available for the 9 to 12 year old's class. Please call Kingwood at (419)522-0211 to sign up.

2. There are no more spots left! Can you add my child in still?

In order to give every child attention in the class, each week has a capped capacity. We are more than happy to add you to a waiting list and notify you if an opening occurs!

3. Do we have to attend all eight weeks?

Sign-ups will automatically be for all eight weeks. Although we highly encourage children to attend all eight weeks, we understand if you cannot attend all. Any child that does attend at least six of the eight weeks will earn a take-home nature learning basket.

4. What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the popularity of this program, we ask that you please notify our Education Coordinator as soon as possible if you can no longer attend the program. This gives us the opportunity to contact those on a waiting list to attend.

5. One of my children is in the younger class and my other is in the older class. Can they just come to one class together?

We strive to give children the best environment to absorb the material. We separate age groups in order to achieve this. If you have a specific need for them to be together, please contact our Education Coordinator. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

6. Can I drop off my child at Kingwood and come back after?

At this time, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult caretaker. One adult admission to Kingwood is included with a child's registration.

7. Am I allowed to bring younger/older siblings to the class with my registered child and myself?

In order to maintain small class sizes and allow for the optimal learning experience for each registered child, we do not allow younger/older siblings to accompany the parent/guardian to the class. Thank you for your understanding!

8. What type of learning format will be used?

Our certified instructor will build lessons that focus on child-led learning and are supplemented with Project WILD, a national initiative that "emphasizes awareness, understanding and appreciation of wildlife and natural resources".
