- Chuck Gleaves is the Director of Kingwood Center and has a wide range of gardening interests including photography so his programs are well illustrated. He particularly likes to speak about his experience with developing his own gardens where he has experimented with a wide range of gardening techniques and habitats. He is also happy to talk about Kingwood Center, garden history, best plant selections, gardening with native plants, and many more potential topics. - Bill Collins is the Head Gardener at Kingwood Center and also manages some of the educational programs, shows, newsletter, and a wide assortment of gardening programs. - Charles Applegate is the Senior Gardener at Kingwood Center. Charles has gardened at Kingwood since 1965. He also works on displays writes for our newsletter, and gives tours and talks. At home he hybridizes daylilies and grows hosta, daffodils, lilies, magnolias, perennials .... - John Makley is the Director of Audience Development at Kingwood Center. John has been pulling weeds since his days as a forced laborer in his mother's garden. Some topics he would speak on include pest management, transplanting trees and shrubs, propagation,, turf, compost, and pruning.
